Talah: a collaborative project transforming textured painting into a vibrant rug. Silk and wool recreate brushstrokes.

Talah is an exploration of how texture, motion and color translate from canvas to pile. Artists layered impasto and translucent washes; our ateliers translated those gestures into knotted silk and wool, preserving the energy of each stroke while introducing the subtle sheen and depth unique to textile.

The result is a rug that reads like a painting underfoot: dynamic fields of color, lifted highlights of silk that catch light like fresh paint, and the warm, tactile body of wool that grounds the composition. Each piece is an interpretation, not a reproduction — an artisanal reimagining that honors the original mark-making while celebrating the material possibilities of weave.
